Identity theftLoan / instant loan app scamWhatsApp / international call scam23 days ago PSA: Target of automated call-bombing & extortion scam by fake loan racket ("VishwasCash" / +92 WhatsApp calls)
Sharing a quick breakdown of an ongoing loan recovery extortion scam targeting my number:
The Trap: Received non-stop calls from random numbers. A caller addressed me by a wrong name, claimed I owed ₹2,000 for an instant loan I never took, and began abusing and threatening me when I refused to pay.
The Attack: Seconds later, my phone was hit by automated call-bombing every 1–2 minutes from multiple Indian numbers (+91).
The Escalation: Received WhatsApp messages from a Pakistani VoIP number (+92 349 9762089) claiming to be "Vishwascash loan department". They sent a payment link, someone else's KYC documents (PAN/Aadhaar of a stranger named "Teli Nikunjbhai"), and spammed WhatsApp audio calls.
Immediate Action Plan:
Do NOT Pay or Click: Never pay (it invites more extortion) and never click their links.
Report Immediately: Filed official complaints on Chakshu (Sanchar Saathi) and cybercrime.gov.in (1930).
Stop the Calls:
Turn on Filter spam calls in Android Phone Settings.
Turn on Silence unknown callers in WhatsApp Settings.
Temporarily set Truecaller to block non-contacts to break the bot-dialer's loop.
Don't panic or engage with them. Block everything, report the numbers, and let their automated bot dialer burn out.
