How to protect yourself
- Never share OTPs, CVV, UPI PIN or screen access with anyone - no bank or agency ever asks for them.
- Verify the identifier on Garuda before you pay, click a link, or install an app.
- Pay only through official, verifiable channels; avoid direct UPI transfers to unknown IDs.
- If you have lost money, report immediately on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) or call 1930.
